St. John Church Cemetery Committee Meetings

November 16, 2011 – Guest speaker Capt. Yeager. Inaugural meeting.  Discussed cemetery events leading up to current meeting, goals of committee.  Next meeting: December 15.

December 15, 2011 – Discussed reward fliers, security, repairs, and funding. Next meeting: January 19.

January 19, 2012 – Attending were Bob Andrews, Bettie Beauchamp, Terri Hall, Dan Rolla, Perry and Jennifer Seppi, William and Steve Sinnott, Melissa Stump, Shirley Young.  Guest speakers were Amanda Becker, CPMBS, and Robert Mosko, Mosko Cemetery Monument Services.  Discussed repair, budget, funding. Next meeting: February 16.

February 16, 2012 – Attending: Bob Andrews, Bettie Beauchamp, Robert Mosko, Jennifer Seppi, William and Steve Sinnott, Melissa Stump, Shirley Young.  Discussed pending legislation bill HB394 and passed legislation bill SB282 as they relate to religious cemeteries; logistical issues within the cemetery; funding; website.  Next meeting: March 15, and April 19.

March 15, 2012 – Attending: Bob Andrews, Bettie Beauchamp, Perry and Jennifer Seppi, William and Steve Sinnott, Shirley Young.  Discussed plan of action moving forward: Cemetery fund, quilt auction, garage sale, bulletin insert, and columbaruim options.  Next meeting: April 19.

April 19, 2012 – Attending: Bob Andrews, Perry and Jennifer Seppi, William and Steve Sinnott.  Discussed weed control around perimeter; Bob will get estimates for a gate. Next meeting: May 16.

May 16, 2012 – Attending: Bob Andrews, Bettie Beauchamp, Perry and Jennifer Seppi, William and Steve Sinnott, Melissa Stump, Shirley Young.  Discussed the expenses related to the cemetery and options for maintenance; Bob shared his quotes for a gate; possibilities of having a columbarium built; St. John Cub Scout Pack 420 will post flags at veteran’s sites on May 27 at 12 noon.  Next meeting: June 13.

June 13, 2012 – Attending: Bob Andrews, Bettie Beauchamp, Dan Rolla, Perry and Jennifer Seppi.  Guest Speaker: Gene Kinnel of McCleskey Construction Company.  Presentation on proposed columbarium and options.

September 19, 2012 – Attending: Bob Andrews, Bettie Beauchamp, Katie Gehan, Jennifer Seppi.  Discussed maintenance issues – weed control, patio cleanup, cleanup on city property at the overpass walkway, a possible need for a biweekly maintenance schedule and installation of the gate; more appropriate signage; patrol duty in anticipation of Halloween vandalism; table display for the Christmas bazaar; cemetery tour; the Requiem Mass at the St. Bart Chapel 11/8 for those buried at St. Bart and St. John Cemeteries.
